3 best bread machines for gluten free bread

The majority of modern bread machines are designed for baking with gluten. If you can’t eat gluten, it can be difficult to find a bread machine that works for you. They do exist, so have hope! I’ve provided a list of the 3 best bread machines for making gluten free bread here. Hopefully, you find it a good place to get started. If you have any questions about gluten free baking, check out my other posts on the topic, or message me directly.

Zojirushi Home Bakery Supreme 2lb. Loaf Breadmaker

Zojirushi is a brand that is known and trusted by many home bakers. I’ve got one myself, actually. The Home Bakery Supreme is, like most of Zojirushi’s machines, reliable, sturdy, and hard-working. In addition to the gluten free bread recipe found in the manual, the Zojirushi company provides several GF recipes on its website. The company also provides directions on how to produce a softer GF loaf using a variation of rise time and bake time from the standard GF course.

Cuisinart CBK-100 or CBK-200 2 lb. Breadmakers

If you pop over to my Bread Machine Reviews, you will find extensive reviews for both of these bread machines. Unlike the Zojirushi, both are affordably priced (under $150). Cuisinart has made a significant effort to court gluten free bakers, and their machines perform better than many competitor models in gluten free baking. The texture and flavor of breads baked in these machines is fabulous, making a gluten free lifestyle much easier and more pleasant. Added bonus? The machines look good. Skip the bread machine covers – the stainless steel finish looks great on any countertop.

Oster CKSTBR9050 Expressbake Breadmaker

This is my favorite budget bread machine for gluten free baking. Oster is known for producing high quality appliances, and this is no exception. The price for this model is under $100, regardless of vendor (at least on Amazon.com), but the features rival those of the expensive brands. An added bonus is the size – this breadmaker is compact, and fits well even in cramped kitchens. Gluten free bakers consistently report good results with this machine, too. If your funds are limited, but your love of bread knows no bounds, check out this model. I reviewed this breadmaker earlier in the year, so look at the Bread Machine Reviews page for more details.
