Oster CKSTBR9050 Expressbake Bread Maker, White Reviews

15Despite not being a top of the line brand for bread machines, Oster makes a quality product. Once again, with the CKSTBR9050, the company has produced a model that delivers quality bread without a lot of fuss. New and experienced bakers will enjoy using this machine. Consistently priced under $100, it is an excellent deal for those on a budget, or for entry-level bakers.

Key features

  • Large, 2 pound loaf capacity
  • 13 dough and bake cycles
  • 3 crust settings
  • 13 hour delay timer
  • Capable of baking a loaf in under 1 hour
  • 2 kneading blades and 1 blade removal tool

This bread maker has a large loaf capacity of 2 pounds, and comes complete with 13 dough and bake cycles and three crust settings. If youÕre in a hurry, the ExpressBake setting can help you bake a 1 or 1.5 pound loaf in just 58 minutes. Oster includes an extra kneading blade, which can be especially useful for bakers who want to make loaves back to back without much hassle. The blade removal tool means no more digging around in the loaf for the blade. If you want your fresh bread the next morning, the 13 hour delay timer comes in handy, too.

Loaf size and shape

This bread maker produces loaves in three sizes – 1 pound, 1.5 pound, and 2 pound. The loaves are rectangular, and slightly wider than store-bought bread. They should still make slices that fit reasonably well in a toaster, and make decent sandwiches for school lunches or family meals, however.

This compact bread maker is inexpensive, reliable, and loaded with more features than some of its more expensive competitors. Thirteen bake and dough cycles, as well as the ability to bake a loaf of bread that tastes good in under an hour are big benefits. The inclusion of extra kneading paddles, and even a paddle removal tool, knock this machine right out of the metaphoric park. This machine is an excellent choice for beginning and experienced bakers alike.

One could hope for a few more features, like an automatic fruit and nut dispenser, but considering the wealth of quality specs on this budget brand bread machine, I’m thoroughly impressed. The Oster CBKSTBR9050 is an excellent product from a respectable company. The word on the street is that their customer service is excellent, too.

If you are in the market for an economically priced bread maker, this is definitely a solid option. Reviews of the product are generally positive, and the bread recipes included are delicious. Additionally, the machine includes a lot more than you would expect for its price point. All around, it is an excellent product.

I haven’t been able to locate a copy of the manual for this bread machine online. If you know where I can find it, please let me know. I’ll happily include the link here.
